London WRG at Canalway Cavalcade:
1 May 1999:
A Report in Pictures
Photos by Dan Evans

Each year, London WRG enters the decorated boat precession. This year, the theme was "Our Waterways Heritage" - which we presented on Fulbourne - the owners of which were kind enough to let us use.

This year we came joint first, winning a share of the 200 pound prize!

Martin adds the final touches to the "Three Mills". Little Venice basin, seen beyond the "Anderton Lift".
A three million lottery grant to restore the Anderton Lift? Rupert demonstrates that London WRG can do it with Sellotape! The "Pontythinggy Aqueduct", together with its scale-model narrowboats.
A view from Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, along Foxton Inclined Plane, towards Three Mills... or rather, along Fulbourne towards Sainsbury's. Preparations take shape...
...and the boat passes through Regents Park.
